Privacy Policy

In short: you give us your name, phone number and answers about your pool so we can send you a price estimate on WhatsApp. We pass your details to a pool builder only after you approve that builder by name. We never sell your data. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

1. Who we are

PoolQuote India (poolquote.in) is a free service that helps homeowners in India estimate the cost of a swimming pool and connects them with a pool builder they choose. For this policy we are the "Data Fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

2. What we collect

We do not ask for payment details, ID documents, or your exact address on the website.

3. Your consent

By tapping the button that sends your details, you agree that we may process them for the purposes above and contact you on WhatsApp or by phone about your pool. Sharing with a builder needs a separate "yes": we tell you the builder's name first and share your details only if you agree.

You can withdraw consent at any time by writing "stop" on WhatsApp or emailing us. We then stop contacting you and delete your data as described in section 6.

4. Who we share data with

The pool builder you approve. They receive your name, phone number, city or area, and your project details so they can call you and visit the site. Each builder agrees to use these details only for your project.
Service providers who work for us: Google (Google Sheets, where we keep leads; Google Analytics), Meta (WhatsApp, where we chat with you; Meta Pixel, which measures our Facebook and Instagram ads), Cloudflare (website hosting), and OpenAI (we send the photo of your site to its image service to create the visualization; the photo is not used to identify you).
Authorities, if the law requires it.

Some of these providers store data outside India. We use them only for the purposes above.

5. Cookies

Our website uses cookies from Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to measure visits and ad results. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the website will still work.

6. How long we keep data

We keep your details for up to 12 months after our last conversation, so we can follow up on your project. After that, or earlier if you ask, we delete them from our records and ask the builder you approved to delete them too.

7. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can ask us to:

tell you what data we hold about you and who we shared it with;
correct or update it;
delete it;
name a person who can use these rights for you if you cannot.

Email hello@poolquote.in or message us on WhatsApp. We reply within 7 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Children

Our service is for adults planning a pool. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
